We walked up to the Honey Veil Truck where the magic is made.
Walking through the streets of South Miami, you will find the Honey Veil bakery truck. This truck has been the center of attention since it started serving for the University of Miami in the spring of 2025. This small but delicious business is run by two sisters, Regina and Ceci Alcobe. Their explosive success with their truck has led the sisters to open a store in South Miami.

The new shop offers five unique flavors of matcha, like the popular New York summer matcha. This includes a strawberry jam made with organic strawberries and honey. They also have a section called “Mix and Matcha,” where you can create your own matcha by selecting a base, milk, and syrup. They also sell a variety of pastries. The baked goods include sourdough cinnamon rolls, chocolate chip cookies and the rosemary olive loaf. Their cinnamon rolls often sell out because of their quality, flavor and texture.
We tried a matcha and cinnamon roll. We both agree that our favorite drink is the Honey Veil Matcha because we love the naturally sweetened honey flavor and the cinnamon foam on top. When you first take a sip, you taste the rush of cinnamon, then the luxurious matcha flavor with your choice of milk. The drink comes in a nicely decorated plastic cup given to you by the sweet workers at the window. The original matcha is seven dollars; any extra syrup or flavors is an extra five cents.
Comparing Honey Veil to local competitor Pura Vida, Honey Veil has a better price range when talking about strawberry matchas. Pura Vida’s strawberry matcha is around nine dollars while Honey Veil is seven dollars and fifty cents.
This is a great spot to meet up with friends and family and get a tasty drink and a pastry.
