ScandyCandy is a Swedish candy store on Miracle Mile that opened Aug. 9 and took Coral Gables by storm. After this store trended all over TikTok, we knew we had to go check it out for ourselves.
When you walk into ScandyCandy, you are immediately hit by the store’s fun atmosphere. The aesthetic is very trendy, with checkered floors, a floral art piece and neon sign, and bright white walls lined with clear bins of candy.
To put together a bag, customers grab their own scoopers that can be brought from bucket to bucket. The candies they sell are unique, like different varieties of Bubs, skulls, and other chewy candies. This store is known for their use of natural sugar, natural colorings, and gelatin-free ingredients.
ScandyCandy features a balance between sweet and sour, which is good for customers whose tastes vary. These candies have unique flavors that are hard to compare to American candies. We loved the novelty of trying the different candies from Sweden and experiencing their culture, and we’re not the only ones.
The first piece of candy we tried were bubs, specifically the pink and dark pink bubs. We were in shock at how sweet and delicious they were, and how much they tasted like strawberries. We also tried the pink and blue sour skulls that tasted like bubble gum, but our favorites were definitely the bubs. There were just so many different varieties that we wanted to try with all different shapes, sizes, and colors.
Shopping in the store is a smooth and pleasant experience. We scooped the candy we wanted into our blue and pink bags, put them on the scale, paid, and were off with a sweet treat to end the night. ScandyCandy is a perfect dessert—it will fill you up with just the right amount of sugar to make it fun.
